Y’all know how much I love bright colors and fancy props, but sometimes simple is best. I’m so excited to offer for the first time Simply Baby Mini-Sessions. I’m starting with 4 spots, and if there’s a lot of interest then I will add more times for that day only. Here’s the scoop:
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: How do I reserve my session?
A: Your deposit of $145 is your full payment. It can be paid by PayPal or check. If you are mailing a check it is made out to 11 Sixteen Photography and mailed to 11401 Woodford Ct. Glen Allen, Va 23059. If your check is not received within 3 days of your session request, your spot will become unreserved.
Q: What happens if my baby gets sick?
A: If your baby is sick please give me 24 hours notice so that I can call someone on the wait list to fill the space. If you do not show up and do not contact me your deposit is forfeited.
Q: How are my images chosen?
A: Within 7 days of your session you will get a password to your online gallery where you will view your 15-20 best unedited images. You will email me your favorite 5 image numbers which will then be edited in color and put on your CD.
Q: Can I get more than 5 images?
A: Of course. If you’d like more than 5 images you may purchase additional images for $25 each. Please let me know the image numbers along with your inital selections so that I may put them all on one CD.
Q: What should my baby wear?
A: The great thing about these sessions is that they do not require any clothing. Babies will be tastefully covered (you know all those little bits and pieces) using fabric and props. The focus is on the baby’s beautiful skin and features.
Q: What about the rest of the styling like the props and accessories?
A: All props will be natural wood tones. All blankets and fabrics will be shades of white, cream, tan, and brown. Nothing will have a pattern, but there will be some soft and beautiful textures.
Q: Why only babies 2-10 months old?
A: Babies under 2 months old require extra time and special handling. I would need more than 30 minutes to work with them, and that defeats the purpose of the mini-session. If you have a baby under 2 months old and are interested in this type of session, please contact me for special arrangements. Babies over 10 months old are starting to pull-up, cruise, and walk. Since the babies are going to be mostly naked, this would be a great challenge to photograph appropriately (what I’m nicely trying to say is I’m trying to avoid full-frontal baby action).
Q: Where are mini-sessions held?
A: At my studio in Glen Allen.
